With a career that began in the financial trenches of Zambia as a Trainee Accountant, our founder has navigated through diverse roles, from strategic financial management in the private sector in Botswana to spearheading financial oversight in pivotal UK Department for Environment, Forestry and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and UK international development programs. Their journey is marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence, innovation, and a deep commitment to sustainable development.
Our founder’s tenure as a Finance Business Partner at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in the UK was a testament to their ability to align financial strategies with ambitious climate and environmental goals. They played a pivotal role in managing International Climate Funds, contributing to global initiatives such as the Green Climate Fund and the UK Partnership for Accelerated Climate Transition. This period was characterised by strategic financial management, risk analysis, and fostering inclusive, climate-resilient growth on a global scale.
Prior to this, their work with the UK Department for International Development (DFID) showcased their adeptness in navigating complex financial landscapes, ensuring the feasibility and value for money of government-funded international development programs across Africa. Their achievements include improving income for nearly a million people, enhancing healthcare, and delivering sustainable water and sanitation services to millions
Our Founder and Managing Director combines top-tier academic credentials with extensive professional experience. Holding a MSc in Evaluation and Applied Research ( Claremont Graduate University, USA), a Master’s in Public Administration ( Birmingham University, UK), and Chartered Certified Accountant status, alongside certifications in Sustainability ( Imperial Business School, London) and a UK CFA Certificate in Climate Investing, they expertly bridge financial acumen with sustainability insights.
